An idea - The Peoples' Habeas Corpus
In this thread, I said:

Maybe we should consider creating some sort of network of people who will promise to ask questions if one of the network drops out of sight. Get loud. Make noise. Maybe save someone's life.

A Peoples' Habeas Corpus, so to speak.
So is anyone else out there paranoid enough to consider doing this very thing? It's only paranoia if they aren't out to get you.

(We will be camping until Sunday, so don't start screaming yet if you don't hear from [info]lasarina or I before Monday.)

I know people who have gotten extra copies (official copies) of things like birth certificates, social security cards, marriage certificates.. and anything else important, and sent them off to various safe keepers in other locations.

David and I hope that as soon as we can afford it we can make preparations for any kind of potential natural/political disaster that will help keep us alive (and very importantly - be mobile).

My uncle also asked that I keep 3 official copies of my birth certificate (one of which is wallet size).

I think that having a people's habeas corpus is a good idea.
